It softens and removes dead skin cells and then replenishes moisture. Sake Lees is a byproduct obtained during the manufacturing process of traditional Japanese Sake. This process has hardly changed since the 16th century. The story goes that a WaFood Made got a hint after A Tohji (master brewer) who handles Sake Lees was noticed to have beautiful hands.
